Tis the time for resolutions.
It’s not really a resolution so much as things that I’ve meant to do for a long time and just figured that January 1 would be the best time to do it. It’s a good starting marker, really. Plus there was Japanese food. Every New Year, I go to my Dad’s house and we have a (somewhat traditional) Japanese New Year dinner with our relatives and friends. It’s the only time of the year I really get to eat tempura and also the only time of the year I’ll drink warm sake.
I don’t know what it is about sake, but it just smells like warmed up rubbing alcohol to me. It’s smooth though, aside from the taste so maybe that’s the draw.
